WACTE Award Application

 

Teacher of the Year
for members employed as full-time classroom/laboratory CTE teachers at the middle/secondary school level


Carl Perkins Community Service Award
for members who have displayed a dedication to the improvement of CTE’s impact on the lives of individuals and communities


Postsecondary Teacher of the Year
for members employed as full-time postsecondary CTE teachers or teacher educator


New Teacher of the Year
for members employed as full-time classroom/laboratory CTE teachers (at the middle, secondary or postsecondary level) who are new to the teaching profession (3-5 years’ experience)


Career Guidance Award
for members employed as full-time school counselors and/or career development professionals


Administrator of the Year
for members employed as full-time CTE administrators, program specialists, coordinators, and all other CTE personnel and staff (not employed as teachers or guidance professionals)


Lifetime Achievement Award
for members whose dedicated contributions have been identified with the work and purposes of the Association over an extended period of time

Wyoming Hall of Fame
Inductees to the Hall of Fame shall be those distinguished persons who have been identified with work and purposes of the WACTE. The award will be presented only to WACTE members who have made a significant impact on the field of career and technical education at national, regional and state levels. Induction to the Hall of Fame may be posthumous.


Award of Merit
To recognize individuals or organizations outside the field of career and technical education for the highest meritorious contributions to the improvement, promotion, development and progress of career and technical education.


Innovative Career and Technical Education Program
To recognize innovative Career and Technical Education programs that are unique, novel, and are serving to improve and promote the image of Career and Technical Education.


CTE Student of the Yaar
To recognize students who are outstanding students in career and technical education classes, career and technical student organizations, and their community. To recognize the award winner with a $200 cash award.
